Nina Helledie holds a BA and an MA in Fine Arts from Funen Art Academy
Her artistic practice explores movement, response, and emergence. Rooted in intuitive processes, her work has given rise to an ongoing investigation of systemic thinking, relational understandings, and the interconnectedness of natural and societal systems.

Body-Based Research
Helledie’s body-based research developed through two years of immersion in body therapy and somatic practices. The investigation approached the body as a dynamic system, continuously shaped by its interaction with the mind and the surrounding environment.
Through practical and experiential exploration, she examined how bodily sensations, perceptions and external influences interact, and how these processes shape our experience of ourselves and the world around us.
The research established a foundation for her ongoing artistic interest in interconnected systems, reciprocal influence and the relationship between the individual and the wider environment.

Helledie has over the last 14 years developed an abstract method mark in making, she has through the 14 years continuously produced works and further developed the method. it has been a common thread throughout her artistic practice. The works are created through repetition, intuition, rhythm, vibrations and in an interplay between internal and external movementsand. And is saturated underdevelopment and production
The 15 June Foundation's honorary award
Nina Helledie received the 15 June Foundation's honorary award.
The purpose of the foundation reflects the founders' great interest in art and culture, research and education, as well as their humanitarian and social commitment and joy to Danish nature.
The jury consisted of Louisiana Museum Inspector: Anders Kold, Visual Artist: Claus Carstensen and Art Critic and Writer: Mai Misfeldt.
Art practice and biography
Nina Helledie is a Danish visual artist who grew up in a small town called Stavtrup. She grew up and lived in an old dance restaurant which had been transformed into a collective living comunity. At the age of 6, she started her artistic education at a school called Århus Friskole. The school which was renowned for music education, focused on artistic freedom and creation.
